Schools get half of $3M levy after error

SPOKANE (AP) — School officials in Spokane say the East Valley School District will collect just half of a $3 million transportation levy due to a clerical error.

The Spokesman-Review reports that the district failed to certify the levy, which was approved by voters last year. This means that the county didn't collect any of the levy money in 2016.
