UW tops $562M in gifts for 2017

SEATTLE — Donations to the University of Washington this year have set a record: $562.7 million. The previous record was set last year: $542.4 million.

The UW said in a press release that $358 million of that was given to faculty and student programs, and about $55 million was donated to capital funds. The remaining gifts went to departments for publications, student programs, speakers and special projects.
