Northwest Kidney Centers

Seattle resident David Junker received the Clyde Shields Distinguished Service Award from Northwest Kidney Centers for his contributions to the welfare of kidney patients. NKC said Junker has visited a dialysis clinic for treatment three times a week for almost 37 years and has helped advance scientific knowledge about kidney disease. Clyde Shields in 1960 became the first person in the world to begin dialysis that would sustain his life long-term.
