If your business or organization wants to become more racially diverse but has trouble finding qualified job candidates, don't expect to find much sympathy from Lylianna Allala.
Allala, vice chair of the Got Green board of directors, told an audience on Wednesday the problem isn't the lack of qualified candidates, but rather the way employers go about recruiting. Employers need to look more closely at how they present themselves and do better at advertising job openings in ways that connect with people of color, she said.
