Tacoma now has six opportunity zones

TACOMA — Six census tracts in Tacoma have been approved for Opportunity Zone status, with federal tax breaks to spur new development and job creation.

The areas are Hilltop, Old City Hall area, UWT/Brewery District, Lincoln District and the Tacoma Mall/Nalley Valley area.
