SEATTLE — The cost of living in Seattle may be higher than in other parts of the country, but incomes are higher, too.
New employment and wage data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics show the average worker in the Seattle area earned 29 percent more than U.S. workers on average in May 2017: $31.42 per hour in Seattle vs. $24.34 per hour nationally.
