Columbia Pulp appointed Mike Schock as vice president in the Dayton headquarters and Tony Waldo as production manager at the Lyons Ferry facility and Pomeroy pilot plant. Schock has over 35 years of paper industry experience, most recently as director of global product development at Sonoco in South Carolina. Waldo has over 20 years of experience in nuclear and pulp and paper industries. He was base mill manager for Boise Cascade in Minnesota, and mission analysis manager at Washington River Protection Services in Richland. Columbia Pulp converts wheat straw and seed alfalfa into pulp and biopolymers for paper and packing products.
