SEATTLE — Concrete Barrier Inc. will pave more than one mile of northbound Interstate 5 and replace failing bridge expansion joints between Spokane Street and Interstate 90. The Mukilteo company on Friday was awarded an $11.92 million contract for the work.

Several lanes of northbound I-5 will be closed at all times from Aug. 10-29 for the repairs. Crews will first repair the expansion joints on the southbound bridge using overnight closures starting in July.
