Worker safety a major concern during I-5 work

    Beginning Friday night at 10 p.m., northbound Interstate 5 will shrink to three, two or even one lane between the West Seattle Bridge and Interstate 90 — and stay shrunk for the next 19 days.

    After 40 years, the freeway there is being repaved and 34 expansion joints are being replaced.
