City considers funding for Spokane St., Mercer

“Yes” to the Spokane Street viaduct. “Maybe later” to Mercer Street.

In March, Mayor Greg Nickels proposed a $360 million plan to finance upgrades to the Spokane Street viaduct and the Mercer corridor. The roads and transit ballot initiative that voters nixed in November would have paid for both projects.
