$1M WSU project to test low impact development ideas

  • WSU says this will be one of the first efforts in the country to study natural techniques for treating stormwater.

    The project has two parts: retrofitting this parking lot and building an outdoor lab with 40 bioretention cells.

    Bids are due today for a contractor to install innovative low impact development systems at Washington State University's Puyallup Research and Extension Center. WSU says the project will be one of the first in the country to study such techniques on a large scale.
