AGC survey: 2010 won't be good year for construction

Steven Sandherr, CEO of the Associated General Contractors of America, says 2009 was a bad year for the national economy, but it was devastating for the construction industry.

In a media conference call Wednesday, Sandherr said the construction industry is experiencing depression-like conditions and the outlook for 2010 is not much better. He cited a recent nationwide survey by the AGC of nearly 700 contractors that found 88 percent of them don't expect conditions to improve until at least 2011.
