Crew dismantling rare covered railroad bridge

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. — The gable was stuck, “no trespassing” signs and all.

As much as the Hamilton Construction crane tugged at it, the gateway to the only covered railroad bridge this side of the Mississippi refused to budge.
