No I-90 snowshed; 2 bridges instead

HYAK, Kittitas County — Guy F. Atkinson Construction has come up with a plan to build two 1,200-foot bridges instead of an expanded snowshed over Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass.

The change is expected to save the Washington State Department of Transportation $650,000 a year in maintenance and operation costs associated with the snowshed.
