OLYMPIA — Specialized Pavement Marking spent the past seven weeks installing brighter, tougher lane stripes on some of the busiest roadways in the state under a $2.7 million contract with WSDOT.
Striping was installed on Interstate 5 in Marysville, Lynnwood, Lacey and Tumwater; the express lanes in Seattle; state Route 240 in Richland; U.S. 2 in Cashmere; and U.S. 12 in Walla Walla. As the rains move in, crews are packing up for the season and plan to finish striping next spring along Interstate 205 near Vancouver.
