Oil barge pulled off rocks; inspection next

Royal Dutch Shell’s drilling rig Kulluk ran aground on New Year’s Eve off Alaska’s Sitkalidak Island. It has since been towed to shelter in Kiliuda Bay, about 43 miles southwest of the city of Kodiak.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Inspectors will descend upon a remote Kodiak Island bay to investigate whether a Royal Dutch Shell LLC drilling vessel will need repairs after spending nearly a week aground.
