UMC holds pre-task planning meetings to promote safety.
University Mechanical Contractors
The UMC safety culture is deeply rooted in the organization.
UMC believes there is no better way to set people up for safety success than by integrating them into the company’s safety culture.
Crew members know that job-site safety, including their own safety and the safety of their coworkers, is the responsibility of each person: They make suggestions, correct hazards, work carefully and watch out for each other.
UMC also uses pre-task planning meetings and mentoring by foremen and journeymen. The company knows that while it is analyzing challenges and best-practice methods, innovations can be developed, so UMC encourages ideas and input from all its employees.
UMC has been an AGC Safety Team member since 2005.
