Crews move 1,000-ton Hanford reactor for disposal

Crews used a 30-foot-tall mobile lifting frame to remove the reactor from about 30 feet below ground.

RICHLAND, Benton County (AP) — Workers lifted a 1,000-ton reactor out of the ground at Hanford and sent it on its way to a disposal site on the nuclear reservation.
