WSDOT releases a plan for how to keep freight moving statewide

  • Recent census figures show the Puget Sound region's population will grow by 760,000 people by 2030, and WSDOT says funding is needed for mobility projects to prepare.
  • The Washington State Department of Transportation says it has come up with a plan to keep freight moving smoothly throughout the state.

    Private and public stakeholders worked with WSDOT on the freight mobility plan, which looks at how to move goods by truck, rail, water and air — everything from apples to aerospace parts.
