Quarry open until 3 a.m. to supply Boeing project

EVERETT (AP) — Snohomish County has given a Granite Falls quarry permission to truck rocks, gravel and sand at night until 3 a.m. to keep up with the needs of contractors building the new Boeing 777X factory at Everett.

The Daily Herald reports the county hearing examiner approved the Aggregates West request for extended hours at its Green Mountain Mine because of the unusual construction project.
