CAMAS, Clark County (AP) — The Clark County fire marshal's office says the Oct. 6 fire that caused nearly $1 million damage to small planes and hangars at a private airport in Camas was caused by electrical equipment failure.
Senior Deputy Fire Marshal Susan Anderson said Tuesday that the late-night blaze in a building at Grove Field started in either a power strip or an electrical outlet that the strip was plugged into. Both were mounted on a heavy timber support post.
