ST manager named Person of the Year

SEATTLE — Sound Transit Construction Management Director Richard (Dick) Sage won the Person of the Year award from the Construction Management Association of America.

The award is given to industry leaders who have made significant contributions to the profession. The association says winners must have unparalleled leadership skills, a high degree of professionalism and have an outstanding track record.

Sage oversees work on light-rail, commuter rail and regional express bus capital construction programs at Sound Transit. He has 47 years of construction experience.

Earlier this year the Puget Sound Engineering Council named him Government Engineer of the Year. In 2013 he received the Distinguished Owner Award from the local chapter of the Construction Management Association of America.
