Who leads Rafn? A 'construction nerd,' a one-time elevator operator and an MBA

    This building at Ninth Avenue and Stewart Street in Seattle has space for Gethsemane Lutheran Church functions and social services, and Dekko Place Apartments. Rafn built it.

    Shawn Rhode got hooked on construction about 35 years ago during a two-year carpentry program at Bothell High School, where he and fellow students built a house that was later sold.
