State offers bridge height tool for trucks

OLYMPIA — A new online tool allows truck drivers to more easily research bridge heights and potential conflicts before they hit the road.

The Washington State Department of Transportation says it was updating its bridge information at the time the Skagit River Bridge collapsed in 2013 when an oversize truck struck the supports.
