EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Federal forest managers have agreed to take another look at a timber sale outside Springfield after conservation groups complained that it amounts to a huge clearcut.
The Register-Guard (http://bit.ly/1CP6eaJ) reports the lawsuit filed by Oregon Wild and Cascadia Wildlands has been put on hold while the U.S. Bureau of Land Management looks at the cumulative effects of nearby logging and the Second Show timber sale.
