Longview peroxides plant expanding

LONGVIEW, Cowlitz County — Solvay will spend several million dollars to expand its hydrogen peroxide production plant in Longview.

A company news release said the two-phase expansion will help it meet growing demand from Pacific Northwest pulp and paper producers. The first phase will start later this year and finish in late 2016. The second will be built “in the near future as market conditions require.”
