SEATTLE — Three joint-venture teams have been shortlisted to build an $800 million expansion to the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle.
The shortlisted GC/CM teams are: Skanska and Hunt Construction Group; Mortenson Construction and PCL Construction Services; and Clark Construction Group and Lease Crutcher Lewis. Five teams submitted proposals.
Interviews are being held this week and a request for final proposals will be issued next week. A decision is due by the end of the month.
The 1.2 million-square-foot project will have exhibition, meeting, ballroom and support space. The construction budget is $700 million to $800 million.
The total budget of $1.4 billion includes land, design fees, taxes and other costs.
Pine Street Group is the development manager, LMN Architects is the designer and OAC Services is the GC/CM adviser.
