SANDPOINT, Idaho (AP) — Officials with Schweitzer Mountain Resort, just north of Sandpoint, Idaho, say they plan to build a new summit lodge.
The company's board of directors approved the plans for a two-story, $3.8 million lodge late last month.
Schweitzer CEO Tom Chasse says the company is excited to move forward with the project, which will include space for ski patrol and restrooms as well as a restaurant and full-service bar with seating for up to 180 people.
Work on the 8,000-square-foot building is expected to begin early this month and be completed by fall 2016.
