AUBURN — Pease Construction was awarded a $4.6 million contract from the city of Auburn to build the new youth and community center at Les Gove Community Campus.
The project will renovate the 7,300-square-foot Parks, Arts & Recreation administration building to create a youth center, and add 13,700 square feet to it for the community center.
Pease was one of eight bidders for the job. The Lakewood-based contractor's bid was about $1 million under the engineer's estimate.
The design team is ARC Architects, KPFF Consulting Engineers, Travis Fitzmaurice, FSI Consulting Engineers, SSA Acoustics, Swift Co. and Clevanger Associates.
Funding comes from the state and the city.
