Montlake path to close for 520 work

SEATTLE — Crews working on the SR 520 bridge plan to close a popular bicycle and pedestrian route between the University of Washington and Capitol Hill for six months, starting as early as Monday.

The route crosses SR 520 on the 24th Avenue East overpass. The overpass will be extended northward and make room for a new westbound off-ramp to Lake Washington Boulevard.
