SEATTLE — Sound Transit's Board will consider today whether to name Peter Rogoff — the federal government's third highest-ranking transportation official — as the agency's next CEO.
Rogoff is under secretary of transportation policy in the U.S. Department of Transportation. He previously served as President Barack Obama's Federal Transit Administrator.
The board can either accept the recommendation of the search committee or continue the search.
Current CEO Joni Earl has been on medical leave since April 2014.
Deputy CEO Mike Harbour, who did not apply for the CEO position, has served as acting CEO.
