Guilty plea, fine for workers' comp fraud

TUMWATER — The Department of Labor & Industries said Peter Daniel Yeaman, owner of Southgate Roofing in Belfair, pleaded guilty in Kitsap County Superior Court last week to unregistered contracting and a felony count of doing business after his workers' comp coverage was revoked.

The court ordered Yeaman to serve 10 days in jail, but allowed him to serve the time on electronic home monitoring. He also must repay a customer $4,500.
