KENNEWICK (AP) — Two dams in Washington state are scheduled for $8 million in navigation lock repairs by the Army Corps of Engineers.
The Tri-City Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1SbzxMR ) that work will be done on Ice Harbor Dam near Burbank and Lower Monumental Dam near Kahlotus between Dec. 12, 2016 and March 20, 2017. The inland navigation system on the Columbia and Snake rivers was already scheduled to close during that time.
