SEATTLE — As of Wednesday afternoon, the tunneling machine Bertha was more than one-third of the way through its 385-foot journey under the Alaskan Way Viaduct.
According to WSDOT's tunneling progress web page, Bertha has traveled 149 feet and built 22 of 59 rings. Track the progress at http://wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/Viaduct/99closure/progress.
The viaduct has been closed since Friday for the two-week operation.
