Shimmick/Parsons low on $320M ST job

SEATTLE — There was some good news this week on the E320 contract for the East Link extension project: The lowest bidder was more than $40 million below the engineer's estimate.

The bid opening on Wednesday listed four teams: Shimmick/Parsons JV at $321.1 million; Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. at $342.95 million; Walsh Construction Co. at $333.76 million; and Atkinson/SWI JV at $365.41 million. The engineer's estimate was $365.73 million.
