SEATTLE — King County Solid Waste Division has put new rules in place requiring the construction industry to recycle common construction and demolition materials.
Many materials, including bricks, concrete and metal, can be recycled into new products instead of dumped in landfills.
The Solid Waste Division will hold a series of workshops around King County for anyone interested in learning more about the new rules.
The first workshop will be held 5:30-7 p.m. Aug. 25 at Renton Library. The others will be at 12:30-2 p.m. Aug. 31 at Kenmore Library; 3:30-5 p.m. Sept. 8 at Sammamish Library; and 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 14 at Maple Valley Library.
Call Kinley Deller at (206) 477-5272 or email kinley.deller@kingcounty.gov for more information.
