SNOHOMISH — Drivers who travel through Clearview on state Route 9 in Snohomish County are invited to an open house Wednesday about low-cost ways to relieve congestion in the corridor.
The Washington State Department of Transportation said in a press release that since 2000 it has spent nearly $300 million to widening sections and make the Snohomish River Bridge four lanes. But a three-mile section between 176th Street Southeast and SR 96 in Clearview has not been widened and traffic often forms a bottleneck.
