General contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted seven and hired two for its Seattle operations. Mark Portin was promoted to general superintendent; Marc Schwartz and Doug Maxfield to senior superintendents; Chuck Hynek to superintendent; Adam Thompson and James Rose III to field superintendents; and Oralia Cruz to VDC coordinator. New hires are Ryan Furth as project engineer and Tori Hall as operations assistant. Portin earned a business degree at Seattle University, joined the carpenters' union in 1990, then joined Lewis in 1995. Schwartz has been with Lewis for 26 years. Maxfield recently completed the Third & Harrison project for Martin Selig Real Estate. Hynek has been with the company for 17 years and has experience in project engineering, carpentry and field supervision. Thompson, LEED AP BD&C, holds a bachelor's degree in construction engineering technology from Montana State University. Rose started at Lewis in 2003 as a carpenter. Cruz earned degrees at the University of Utah and North Seattle College, and holds a construction management certificate from the University of Washington. Furth holds a bachelor's degree from Oregon State University. Hall studied at Lewis & Clark University.
