Both groups will appeal over Sand Point projects

The group behind a proposal to create the Magnuson Park Center for Excellence said it will appeal Seattle's decision to reject its plans for Building 2 at Warren G. Magnuson Park.

Seattle Parks and Recreation rejected two proposals last week to renovate the structure. Building 2 is a 144,000-square-foot space that was built in phases between 1929 and 1941 for aircraft assembly and repair.
