Milroy Bridge closed Tuesday

TACOMA — Pierce County Planning and Public Works is closing Milroy Bridge tomorrow so that engineers can inspect the 1931 structure and perform maintenance. The steel truss bridge spans the Puyallup River south of Fife at 66th Avenue East and River Road.

The bridge will be closed during the day to allow engineers to use an under-bridge inspection truck. County crews will take advantage of the closure to sweep the road and replace wood planks on the sidewalks.
