SEATTLE — Metropolitan Grill restaurant at 820 Second Ave. in Seattle is closed for a rehab, and will reopen in mid-August.
Wilcox Construction and Bargreen Ellingson are working on the project, which will renovate the space but preserve the look of the steakhouse.
The restaurant has been in the 1903 Marion Building since 1983. The rehab by Consolidated Restaurants includes new carpet, painting and woodwork, along with upgrading some light fixtures and improvements to the kitchen.
In a statement, Jim Rowe, Consolidated's president and CEO, said, “We are making operational renovations and a few other interior decorating tweaks as the renovation unfolds, but nothing major by any means,” he said.
The 10,000-square-foot restaurant seats 371.
