TACOMA — Pierce County has began installing high-friction surface treatment on five roads.
The treatment's combination of durable aggregates and high-strength epoxy resin increases the skid resistance of the roadway in both wet and dry conditions. It is being installed on curves that have experienced a number of fatal or serious injury crashes.
