Tundra Tape buries carbon fibers in concrete to quickly melt snow and ice

    Tundra Tape was installed in strips under the sidewalk in this prototype test. The heated section kept the walkway free of snow and ice.

    ANCHORAGE, Alaska — An incontrovertible fact of Alaska life means black ice can spin cars out of control and winter snow dumps take up precious asphalt space meant for cars.
