OLYMPIA — The Washington State Department of Transportation is proposing a 19 percent overall goal for small and disadvantaged business participation on Federal Highway Administration-funded projects — including transit and aviation — and is taking written comments through Friday, Dec. 15.
Once submitted to FHWA early next year, the goal would be effective through Sept. 30, 2020.
Comments can be mailed to: Jackie Bayne, Policy & Reporting Manager, WSDOT, Office of Equal Opportunity, P.O. Box 47314, Olympia, WA 98504-7314, or emailed to DisparityStudy@wsdot.wa.gov. Information is at http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/equalopportunity.
WSDOT has scheduled one more public meeting to take comments: Dec. 13 in Yakima from 2–4 p.m. at the South Central Regional Office (2809 Rudkin Road, Union Gap).
