PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon Military Department plans to spend $25 million on improvements at the former Umatilla Chemical Depot near Hermiston.
The Oregon National Guard said last week that a new training center will be used for weekend and annual training requirements for the Guard and other military branches. It will also house the 249th Regional Training Institute, which trains infantry leaders.
