SEATTLE — Seattle Parks and Recreation wants to begin construction next year on improvements to Victor Steinbrueck Park.
Funding for the $1.6 million project comes from a 2008 parks levy.
The park is at the north end of Pike Place Market, at 2001 Western Ave.
Work would involve improving sight lines, better connections and circulation, better lighting, and seating and landscaping upgrades.
Repairs are also needed for a failing membrane that separates the park from a parking garage.
Seattle Parks is holding an online open house through March 30 to collect comments about the project. The website is http://vspark.participate.online.
