WSDOT may tweak DBE program

OLYMPIA — The Washington State Department of Transportation wants to change its disadvantaged business enterprise program to help firms owned by African Americans.

WSDOT is asking the U.S. Department of Transportation to adjust the DBE program so that prime contractors would earn four times the DBE goal credit for including firms owned by African Americans.
