Pullman's Schweitzer Labs plans R&D center at Purdue

  • The power grid protection company expects to break ground this summer on the 100,000-square-foot SEL Purdue.
  • Pullman-based Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories will build a center for electric power research and development in the Purdue Discovery Park District in West Lafayette, Indiana, and said it is designed to support up to 300 new high-tech jobs.

The company expects to break ground this summer on the 100,000-square-foot SEL Purdue, which will be on 10 acres of a 20-acre plot. The site could hold a second building, but SEL said that construction depends on the company's growth and future needs.
