TUMWATER — Sixty-five fallen workers will be remembered today during a ceremony at the state Department of Labor & Industries building in Tumwater.
Four died as a result of violence in the workplace and six succumbed after years-long battles with work-related illnesses. Falls continued to be a leading cause of death, according to L&I.
Last year, L&I honored 79 fallen workers.
Worker Memorial Day observance begins at 2 p.m. at 7273 Linderson Way S.W.
A list of the people being honored can be found at http://www.WorkerMemorialDay.Lni.wa.gov.
