Project manager admits embezzling

HOUSTON (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a 42-year-old Houston man has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $3.4 million from a Dallas-based design and construction company where he was construction manager for a downtown Houston luxury hotel project.

U.S. Attorney Ryan Patrick says Moses Said had worked for The Beck Group of Dallas in charge of Houston's Le Meridien Hotel project in 2016 and 2017 and approved and submitted invoices for payment for construction products that weren't provided and services that weren't performed.
